Here comes December.

Just an update on all things crazy. This past week has been nuts and a little trying. We found out wednesday that Aunt Sue's fiance passed away that morning before he got into town. So prayers for her are appreciated. Thursday we left for our hunting/camping trip. It went very well. Donald, Brandon & Don's friend Larry were drawn for bull elk and each got one. Donald got a very large 6x6. I'll put a picture up soon. But just a general idea it is around 400lbs of meat.

I do have a very serious prayer request for us, Donald got laid off yesterday. So we are in a tough situation. So if you could please keep us in your prayers. We're hoping he'll get something soon.

Getting ready for the weekend

So here's the plan for the rest of the week. Tomorrow I took the day off, I have a checkup appointment at the doctors and so does miss Shelby. Donald leaves to go deer hunting with his dad and brother (uh, yay? not so much) So after he leaves we'll be taking miss Rosie to Gramma's house so I can get some sleep this weekend. Which I did not get last weekend when he was gone. Then friday I'm dressing up as a pink pixie for work. I will be very pink and dramatic lol. Should be awesome. And then I believe the boys are going to come over and eat pizza and hand out candy with me. And so far that's it for plans. Going to try to relax, get some more reading in and just hang out with my peanut. Probably go eat lunch at Nana and Papa's house on Sunday.

Surgery update

Just an update on Tom's mom. She had heart surgery yesterday. They did 5 bypasses. She came through it great.

Birthday-o-rama!!

Wow what a month! Since my last post so many things have happened. Shelby celebrated her very first birthday!!! The entire family is so excited. We are so very blessed with an amazing little girl. The 18th was her party, she got a lot of cute things from friends and family. That Sunday was relax day. And relax we did!!

Monday was a very busy day. Shelby and I managed to get daddy out of bed by 8 o'clock! Can you imagine? We went and picked up "uncle" Brandon and then made it over to Nana's house to pick her up. Then the crew of us headed to the zoo! Where we met "Aunt" Dani and our buddy Zepplin. We had a great time checking out all of the animals.

Then Papa's 50th birthday was on the 25th. We had a great big surprise party for him. It was so much fun. No cake for Shelby that time though. But she had lots of people to play with. On Sunday used the paints I snagged from Nana's house to paint miss Shelby some shirts. I'll put some pictures up.

As I'm sure everyone knows, Friday is Halloween, Daddy is going to be up north with Grampa Bonesteel deer hunting. (poor bambi) So Shelby, Mommy, Uncle Daniel and "Uncle" Toogood are going to come over and have pizza and probably hand out candy to some of the cute kids in our neighborhood, watch some movies. That concludes October!!!

November is a busy month for us as well. On the 8th it's our company picnic and dad's wieght lifting competition. On the 22nd Donald and I get to go to a Phoenix Suns game. And then on the 26th its off to vacation!! Which consists of going up north for a week for daddy, grampa bonesteel and others to hunt bambi's cousin, the elk. (Watch out elk! Mommy doesn't want you in our living room!!!) And by the time we get back, you guess it, it's December. So the rest of our year is pretty busy. Hope everyone is doing well. Love and hugs!

Happy Friday!!

Happy Friday to everyone. It's been a bit of a crazy week at work for both Donald and myself, and we're very glad the weekend is just about here. Tomorrow is Shelby's very first birthday party!!! Can't believe she's finally turning 1. It has gone by soooo fast. It's very exciting though. So tomorrow is her party, where family and friends will be coming over to help us celebrate. I am making her very first cake! So we will have awesome pictures of her in frosting. Sunday will probably be relax day and prepping for dinner on Monday, and then Monday is her birthday! Donald and I both took off work, along with Nana. And we're all going to the zoo!! So I'm sure we'll have lots of pictures from that as well. Hope everyone has a fantastic weekend!!

A Gorgeous Day

It is beautiful outside today. So while Daddy and Uncle Mykel went outside to work on the truck, Mommy, Shelby & Rosie took a walk down to the park. Our dog is kinda a chicken so anything that moves (including grasshoppers) scares her. So she wasn't exactly helpful in the walk. But Shelby loved watching the grasshoppers fly. We also took a stroll around the neighborhood, it was nice to see how pretty everyone's yards look. Now were back home, and Shelby is playing with her instruments. As soon as they are done, we'll be going out. One of our stops is to Home Depot where we start looking at paint for the house. Yay!

Book Blog

So I decided since I read so many many MANY books, and so fast that I would do a blog about what I'm reading. Kinda like mom and her art page, except I'm not writing these books :p. Well at least not yet. Maybe someday. But anywho. I started it up, so if your interested the address is:

Creepy Crawleys, Books & Walking

So we have had our first official creepy crawley sighting in our new home. This morning as I was getting ready for work I was going to check on the dog cause she was awfully quiet and I wanted to make sure she wasn't peeing anywhere inside. She wasn't. She was in the kitchen staring at a baby scorpion walking across the floor. I then proceeded to grab my dog and wake up Donald who came out and killed it into oblivion for me, said the dog had earned her keep for the week and went back to bed. (Mind you this was at 5 am) So now Donald is going to call and chew out the terminator people because they were supposed to schedule coming out to our house again to spray the inside last month, but they only sprayed the outside. And if he doesn't I certainly will because what if it wandered into Shelby's room instead of the kitchen!

On a happier note, not only did I remember to bring my lunch, AND my wallet to work today (unlike yesterday), when I got to my desk, much to my surprise and excitement there was a huge bag of books!! I need a shirt that says in big letters, book worm and proud of it! I'm so excited! I wont be buying books for a while. Which I'm sure Donald will be excited about, but now I have more books and not more bookshelves lol. So were totally going to have to fix that!

Today starts our walking challenge at work that I signed up for. The goal is to walk for 25 miles per week. I have my own little pedometer and everything. Should be fun and a really good workout too.

Prayer request

Please keep our friend Amanda in your prayers. She's been having a tough year. She got divorced earlier this year and then just last month her ex husbands dad passed away and his mom is not taking it well.

She also had what shoul have been. A simple procedure done yesterday and they accident nicked her internally so she had to go to the hospital again for them to take care of her.

She's doing okay. Were going to see her tonight. But please just keep her in your prayers.

We love you Amanda!!

Mobile blogging

Just testing that I can now blog from my phone :)

October is here!

Who knew the year would go so fast!! I can't believe it's already October! Ashley's birthday was yesterday. She turned 3. It's all gone by so fast. Though it's so great knowing that she is exactly where she belongs. Eric & Kathy are so wonderful. And now she has the twin brothers too. Who were absolutely adorable! We went in and the first thing Ashley did was give me and Shelby a hug. It was so sweet. I'll try to get pictures posted up as soon as possible. Though I'm sure mom will beat me to it. I'm a little goofy typing the past few days. I jammed two of my fingers pretty bad trying to grab the rambunctious puppy and slammed them into the concrete. Ouch!

Things at work have been going good. I've been staying busy. It's been a little rough. The market the way it is is very hard on our industry. So everyone is doing their best to make sure things run as smooth as possible. We are currently on a hiring freeze till the end of the year, which is harder on Joyce and Yolanda who do all our recruiting. But we are working together to keep everyone busy.

Donald and I have decided to start working out together. So were going to do some family walking. Especially since it's starting to get cooler outside.

In exactly 2 weeks Shelby Lyn Bonesteel will officially be 1!! I can't believe it. It's gone so fast. She is such a character. But we are having her first official birthday party on the 18th probably early afternoon, so that anyone driving from far away wont be out too late. I cant wait to make her very first cake!

Vacation is coming up in November. Should have some good pictures from that as it will be camping for Shelby, Rosie and myself, and Elk hunting for Daddy, Grampa and Uncle Brandon. Oh Joy! (Can you read the sarcasm enough??) I like the end product, its just the killing that still gets me. I'm going to make a big container of cranberry salad before we leave due to the fact we'll be out there on Thanksgiving, and I can not have Thanksgiving without cranberry salad, it's unnatural!!

Well that's it for now! Try to keep you all updated on anything new.

Lots o' love!

News update!

Well once again, i've totally spaced on updating our blog. Things are finally starting to slow down a bit at the house. We've almost got everything moved over into our new house. Shelby is doing great. Getting bigger every day. She is such a blessing in our lives. Soon we'll be having a couple house warming parties to have friends and family over. We also got a puppy, a beagle. Her name is Rosie. She is so sweet and cuddly. Shelby loves her. All in all things are going awesome. Now that things are settling down i'll hopefully remember to update this more, and Shelby's page as well.

What a year!

So it's been some time since I've written in our blog. Never a dull moment with a new baby in the house. Especially one who is starting to crawl!! I know I can't believe it. Shelby is officially on the move. Which means I may get to rest in about 20 years. (Right Nana?) She is the best baby ever. She's always in a good mood and now likes to wave bye bye. She is such a blessing in our lives. She is now 8 months and growing!! We're going in for a check up soon to get her official stats.

In other news, I got a promotion at work and am now a Sr. HR Assistant. New responsibilities keep me extremely busy at work, but I enjoy what I do. I'm starting to learn some new aspects of our department, which is fun but a little crazy. Could use a couple more arms.

Home is awesome. We only have a few more weeks left until our house is finished being built!! It's gone by so fast. I'm so excited to have our own home. Space for Shelby to crawl around more, and just a place that we can truly call our own. We've worked very hard to get to this point, and will be extremely glad when we get officially moved in.

Sundy I officially turned 24. I had the joy of having Daniel call me an old fart. I told Shane we were getting old. (He turns 28 on Friday) He said I don't know what you're talking about. I turn 26 this week! You keep telling yourself that. We are both trying to think of what we want as birthday presents. I got a really cool cake from Shelby, in the shape of a hamburger and fries. Mom and Dad gave me money, and Daniel got me a gift card for the half price book store, which I have to hide until we move because there is no room for more books! And my friend Jim got me one of those keychains that you can put pictures on. It's awesome. Now I really hope I don't lose my keys :). Donald got me the bestest present of all. A house!! That's my Mother's day, birthday, christmas present this year. Just like it's his Father's day, birthday, christmas present this year. But it is officially the best present ever.

I just wanted to say a SUPER HUGE thank you to my mother-in-love Kelly, (Donald's mom) she has been so awesome this summer watching Shelby to help us save some money from day care. Shelby loves going over to her house and playing with the dogs. She's been soooooo helpful with everything and loves bein a gramma! It makes me feel really good knowing that she is in hands I can trust. I'm gonna go crazy when she goes back to work when school starts! Anyways, I just wanted to say I love you and thank you so much for doing all that you do!

Well, that's all I have time for now! Back to my crazy world! I love you all and God bless!

Busy month

Well, it has been a busy month for all of us here. Shelby is teething, work is staying busy and Donald and I have picked out our house! We got approved towards the beginning of the month to start home hunting!! We're both very excited. So over the past couple of weeks we went out and looked and picked out a wonderful house for us. It's brand new, not even built yet. Yesterday we picked out our carpet, tile, countertops and cabinets! I can't wait to see what it looks like when it's finished. It's a little further out than where we are now, but that's okay. It's in a great neighborhood, there are already other families with children out there, so Shelby already has some potential playmates. I hope everyone has a great day!

Fun times in our house

So it's been a while since we've posted anything. Babies take a lot of time! Shelby is so much fun. We are seriously blessed with such an awesome baby. She's so good natured and mellow. She can already hold her own bottle and had a lot of fun eating off a spoon yesterday. There are so many things I could say, if you want to know let me know. But over all, Shelby is awesome, an absolute joy!! I do manage to squeeze some pictures on her page so you should check it out.

Legos

So we are adding new pictures to our home page of our online training system we use, and one of the pictures gets to be me! We get 1 lego for every hour of training we do on this system. So I decided to do something fun with mine!
